The e-market platform was officially launched by cutting a digital ribbon.

On 23 February 2018 Knua Juventude Fila-Liman (KJFL) launched filaliman.tl.

The e-market serves as an online directory of different businesses, initially in agriculture, agro-forestry, fisheries and tourism. In addition, job-seekers and employers can share their profiles and vacancies.

The e-market platform was officially launched by Director General of the Secretary of State for Youth and Labour Mr. Paulo Alves and UNDP Country Director Mr. Claudio Providas.

"This platform will provide a one-stop show and bring together the work that partners are already doing," said Mr. Providas.

"It was designed by youth, for youth and has been validated and tested and should meet current demand in a basic way."

At the launch event, KJFL Manager Anderias Tani provided a live demonstration to youth of how to register an account and place an order using the filaliman.tl platform.

The platform has been established to connect sellers to potential buyers as well as job-seekers to potential employers, as part of the effort to improve access to markets by small and medium enterprises and young people's access to job opportunities.

The launch event was also marked with a night market as a side event, where participants enjoy music, traditional dancing and refreshments served by 10 local food businesses. More than 500 people attended the launching and night market who had the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of food and drinks and enjoy the live performances.

The e-market and KJFL one-stop shop youth entrepreneurship and innovation hub are some of the initiatives implemented by the UNDP Youth Action for SDGs project, which aims to create an enabling environment for youth innovation and entrepreneurship development as well as youth voices and engagement in Timor-Leste.
