The meeting was led by PNTL General Commander Mr. Julio da Costa Hornai and attended by representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America, the Embassy of Japan, the Australian Federal Police and UNDP project team.

The meeting was conducted to agree the changes to project indicators and present project progress and results to donors and PNTL commanders. During the PNTL general commander’s remarks, he appreciated the support of UNDP, especially during the 2017 and 2018 election periods when UNDP supported the delivery of election security workshops and assisted the socialisation of martial arts laws.

He also expressed deep appreciation for the strong support of donors for many years to strengthen fleet management, IT, finance and human resources. UNDP is committed to generating results and received donors’ encouragement to sustain the great partnership with PNTL and effective implementation of project activities.
