The United Nations system in Timor-Leste congratulates newly-appointed Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, H.E. Mr. Taur Matan Ruak.  We are proud and grateful to have been of service to the country and to the Government directly in the past. We reaffirm the continued commitment to Timor-Leste as the country continues to make progress on the achievement of the Strategic Development Plan, the national Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Roadmap, and specific priorities and plans defined by the Eighth Constitutional Government. The United Nations system stands ready to continue to support national institutions in their work to promote peace, human rights, sustainable development and economic growth in Timor-Leste.
